Cheers to an iconic real English ale!
Deep copper with a long-lasting beige head, Wells Bombardier has all the characteristics of a classic English premium bitter. The aroma is rich with raisins, caramel, and toffee, accompanied by notes of warm, nutty biscuits. Dark fruits and toasted malts carry through in the flavor, and are rounded out by an almost orange-tangerine hop character. Malt flavors play the starring role in this beer, but are in such perfect balance with the yeast and hops that they never come across as too sweet or cloying. Bombardier finishes clean and crisp, despite what you might expect from its low level of carbonation. The result is a beer that is not only great as a refreshing and satisfying drink on its own, but also one that pairs effortlessly with a wide range of cuisine. Serve in a pint glass at 43-50 F.
Suggested Food Pairing: Classic British pub food is an obvious choice, but don’t let that limit your imagination. It's great with grilled steak or chicken, and we paired it with Ale and Mustard Glazed Pork Loin with Roasted Pears.
