A robust black ale that's markedly drinkable.

Baba pours a deep cola color with a thin tan head. The aroma is rich with licorice and whole wheat bread, along with hints of coffee and baking chocolate. Flavors of caramel malt, cocoa and cola mingle with bright, fruity hops, making Baba a wonderfully full-flavored beer that is bright and crisp while remaining light and extremely drinkable. Hoppier than most imported schwarzbiers, this beer is also somewhat reminiscent of a British-style dark mild. Serve in a cervoise glass or tulip Pokal at 43-50 F.
Suggested Food Pairings: The balance of dark roasted malts and fruity hops make Baba the perfect companion for a wide range of foods, ranging from grilled vegetables to strawberry shortcake. We paired it with a lovely Asparagus and Pea Soup from Tiny New York Kitchen for the second beer in our organic beer dinner.
