NEW HOLLAND PILGRIM’S DOLE
Pilgrim’s Dole wheatwine is a delightful twist on the classic barleywine style of strong ale. Brewed with fifty percent wheat malt to a staggering 12% alcohol by volume, this ale is big and bold while maintaining an incredible balance of flavor and drinkability. It pours a clear, burnt orange with a light tan head and releases welcoming aromas of caramel, vanilla, pineapple and bourbon with the slightest swirl of the glass. Golden syrup, toffee and tangerine bathe the palate, rounded out by warming alcohol and just a hint of hop bitterness.
Serve in a snifter at 45-50 F.
Suggested Food Pairings: The sweet caramel and fruit flavors of Pilgrim’s Dole pair well with aged cheddar, beer- glazed Brussels sprouts, and baked apples.
