We're hopelessly in love with this quick cheese and beer bread.
Quick breads are always a great idea for no-fuss baking, since they use baking powder, rather than yeast, to make them rise. In this delicious savory-sweet recipe adapted (just a tiny bit) from Cooking & Beer, the key ingredients really shine as tangy goat cheese, fresh chives, and your favorite saison provide the perfect combination of flavors.
Total Time: 1 hour
We loved this bread so much we used the last two slices to create a savory french toast sandwich with layers of bacon, fresh arugula, and hollandaise sauce ― all topped off with a fried egg and sliced black cherry tomatoes (from our garden). Yum!
Suggested Beer Pairing: This bread is so versatile it will pair wonderfully with your favorite ESB, saison, Belgian tripel, bock, or pale ale.
