BRECKENRIDGE 72 IMPERIAL
The Chrysler Imperial roared into the automotive world in 1926 as a contender to the throne of luxury performance sedans held by Cadillac, and was in fact the pace car for the first Indianapolis 500. Performance and luxury were the hallmarks of Imperials throughout the next fifty years, but the grandiose behemoths of the 1970’s are considered icons of the brand by many car lovers.
Like its namesake, 72 Imperial Chocolate Cream Stout is simultaneously big and powerful, yet smooth and refined. Brewed with the addition of dark chocolate and lactose, the resulting beer has rich aromas of cocoa, dark fruits, and vanilla. Fuggles hops provide a balance to the caramel and biscuit malt flavors, but chocolate is the star throughout. This beer speaks to the kid in all of us, bringing back memories of ice cream soda and malted milk balls, while adding a grownup kick of hops and alcohol. Serve in a pint glass at 45-50 F.
Suggested Food Pairing: Sweet and creamy without being syrupy, 72 Imperial is the perfect choice to pair with desserts such as whoopee pies, blondies, and éclairs. It also makes the perfect dessert, like our 72 Imperial Rocky Road Ice Cream.
