BEER COCKTAILS

This simple, two ingredient beer cocktail is an old-time classic.
Rumor has it, this famous drink was created in 1861 at Brooks Club in London while the country was mourning the death of Prince Albert. The story goes that the club's steward declared it was such a sad occasion that even the champagne should be in mourning; he then promptly mixed it with Guinness Stout. It may sound like an unlikely combination but this beer cocktail actually tastes quite delicious.

Servings: Makes 1 cocktail

Ingredients
  • 3 ounces chilled stout
  • 3 ounces  Champagne or sparkling wine
Directions
  1. Fill a Champagne flute or coupe halfway with stout.
  2. Top it off with Champagne or sparkling wine.
