An exciting new adventure in American India Pale Ales.
Food Loves Beer Editors | May 14, 2014
Anchor IPA is a newly released winner in the brewery's lineup of fantastically drinkable beers. Pouring a deep, bright copper with a delicate off-white head, the aroma is rich with grapefruit, fruity-spicy hops, and toffee. Sweet caramel carries over in the taste, followed by hints of golden plums and an intricate mélange of hop flavors. The brew is dry hopped with six varieties of fresh hops, which contribute a wide array of floral, woodsy, and fresh fruit flavors. Full bodied with a lasting bitter finish, Anchor IPA pairs nicely with Buffalo calamari, pistachio-crusted pork chops, and grilled vegetables. Serve in a pint glass at 45-50 F.
