One more fine interpretation of a classic Belgian farmhouse style
Food Loves Beer Editors | April 9, 2014
Allagash Saison is another new version of a classic Belgian farmhouse style. Its billowy white head sits on top of a lively golden straw ale. The aroma is interwoven with fruity yeast, fresh lemon juice, warm bread, and star fruit. These full bodied flavors carry through on the palate, where they are joined by rye malt and the boldness of Bravo and Cascade hops. Allagash Saison finishes clean and dry, with lots of spice. Saison and chilled seafood is a natural choice for pairing, and Allagash Saison goes perfectly with sushi or a lobster Cobb salad. Serve in a chalice glass at 43-50 F.
